Adidas:
McGrady as Gulliver
Like
Gulliver in Lilliput, NBA star Tracy McGrady faces down an
army of tiny soliders in the latest "Impossible is Nothing"
spot from Adidas and TBWA/Chiat/Day/San Francisco. Directed by
Smuggler's Brian Beletic with special effects provided by
Digital Domain, the effects tour de force shows McGrady on a
single run down court as a squad of miniature special forces
try to hold him back with choppers and cables and grappling
hooks. T-Mac, however, will not be denied.
BREAKING
As
Burger King's Chicken Sandwich World Championship approaches,
Crispin Porter + Bogusky is teasing the mock event, not just
with a viral website, but with spots featuring pre-bout
footage. In two documentary-style spots directed by the
Sydney-based collective The Glue Society via @radical.media,
we see the contenders getting ready for the fight and -- in a
spot that breaks tomorrow -- getting into a scuffle at the
official weigh-in. What will actually happen on the Nov. 5
DirecTV broadcast is anyone's guess, but BK's certainly got
our attention.

ON THE WEB
We haven't
really tried to keep up with the narrative puzzle that begins
at Sharp's www.moretosee.com website, but we do know
that this eBay auction is part of it. We also know
that the man pictured is not, in fact, named Marlon X. No,
that's Chelsea Pictures executive producer Steve Wax. As we
reported here last week, Chelsea and the Haxan collective are
behind the online treasure hunt portion of the Wieden +
Kennedy campaign.
