Mother Celebrates Kids for The Children's Place

The Children's Place "Photo Shoot"
In a new campaign for kids' retailer The Children's Place, Mother/N.Y. invites us to "Celebrate the World of Kid," by showing us a fashion world in which children rule. In a commercial directed by Hungry Man's Sebastian Reed, we see a photo shoot completely manned by pint-sized divas and auteurs. Best line? "You're a grilled cheese sandwich and you're melting," really does sound like something a 10-year-old photographer might say.

The spot is part of a campaign that includes outdoor advertising featuring kids making silly faces, plus an online contest that invites kids to send in their own funny facades.

BREAKING

ESPN "Space Anchors"
Who knew Darth Vadar would turn out to be the next hot spokesperson? In addition to appearing in a recent Target campaign, the Death Star denizen shows up, along with the rest of the cast of Star Wars, in the latest round of ESPN's "This is Sportscenter" campaign from Wieden + Kennedy/N.Y. Turns out -- according to a spot directed by Hungry Man's David Shane with effects provided by ILM -- that the network has had to bring on talent from the future to ease the transition to HD.
