Course Description

    This is a class that is offered in the fall semester.  Our major areas of focus during the semester will be focused on construction trade.  We will go through the process of construction projects from start to finish. We will cover subject areas such as ground work, concrete, lumber, framing, electricity, plumbing, and various other aspects. We will try to set up projects around the school and community to assist in the learning process.

Instructional Philosophy and Delivery Plan

    The most frequently used education delivery method will utilize hands-on learning. There will also be lecture, demonstration, guest speaker, and content reading methods of education. Students are expected to meet all of the course goals and demonstrate an understanding with a minimum of 70% accuracy in order to pass the course. Grading will be accomplished through the use of tests, quizzes, projects, class participation, and personal progress.

bullet Have a firm knowledge of methods of running a construction business and record

-construction industry

bullet Grasp knowledge of career opportunities that are available with this trade
